S.C.C. = Sheffield City Council

S.W.T. = Sheffield Wildlife Trust (note that there are many other SWTs, e.g. Surrey, Sussex, Staffordshire Wildlife Trusts - here it's definitely Sheffield Wildlife Trust)

SRWT = Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust - what SWT has begun to call itself. Sometimes facetiously referred to as SRAWT (i.e. Sheffield and Rotherhan Anti-Wildlife Trust)

N.E. = Natural England (sometimes flippantly referred to as Unnatural England)

P.D.N.P.A. = Peak District National Park Authority
C.P.R.E. = Campaign to Protect Rural England
