The last couple of mornings the skies have been alive with flocks of small birds, almost certainly visiting warblers. Also in evidence, stonechats in the usual spot near the pastures and a skylark on Blacka Hill.
But the dominant singer around the trees these mornings is the song thrush - the Drones Club member constantly calling out "What Ho, What Ho, What Ho ! Toodle Pip, Toodle Pip, Toodle Pip!"
