It's been said that some of the views expressed here are 'rather strong'. Maybe. I prefer diplomacy on the whole but things have gone beyond that when managers dependent on public money go out of their way to avoid discussion and consultation. When false statements are made that don't allow challenge. When defamation is used to discredit those with another view. When truth is a serious casualty and spin tips over into calculated misinformation. When the beautiful natural world is corrupted by politics and managed by the disciples of Macchiavelli.
The simplest way of countering such dark arts may be to say just what you think, based on what you know.
