Bright Spots

The pleasure in finding fungi especially waxcaps is partly connected with the contrast with the surroundings. Grassland can be pretty boring for much of the year and when it's littered with a goodly measure of sheep (and now cattle) droppings it's not something to celebrate. So, as with heather, when it does come up with some prettiness then it's all the better. This little yellow waxcap is a new one showing this morning.
