More Vandalism

This time it's caused by yobs rather than official action. SWT not long ago rebuilt a wall at the Stony Ridge car park. Not long afterwards some of the ridge stones disappeared. Notices have been put up warning of consequences if anyone is caught stealing stones.

This seems to have been taken as a challenge by the regular unsavoury night time clientele who bring their cars here. We were greeted this morning with the sight of a wall partly demolished. "Don't mess with us in future" seems to be the message these nice people want to convey.


I wonder if the police patrol these areas around fringe of the city. We all know them, useful laybys, official and unofficial frequently identified by the quantities of bottles, cans, cigarette packets and contraceptives etc. left around thrown out of car windows.

Trying to expunge this squalor from the mind, a happier stone wall on the track down to Strawberry Lee Lane.
