Off The Beaten Track

Yesterday's editorial in The Guardian touches on experiences close by.

Meanwhile the message of Mr Blunkett's alarming encounter with the cow is not to stay at home, only to remember that dogs and livestock never mix.

And to reinforce the 'cows and dogs don't mix' statement as an absolute fact you can find an even more distressing account in tonght's (22/06/09) Sheffield Star, page 6; "Woman dies in trample horror".

She paid the ultimate price for walking her spaniel and collie on the lead with cattle in the vicinity.

My sympathies to her friends and family.
