Running

Wild animals behave differently when they know that predators are around. The deer most often seen on Blacka are, for deer, fairly relaxed. Those appearing yesterday were not.

A larger than usual group looked as if they had recently arrived. They were twitchy and ran away keeping close together.

That's how they would be likely to behave if predators were around. I saw no predators but they may have been fearful because the place was new to them. But I did hear gunshots this morning.

There's an art in remaining poised when running over rough ground.
