Whites from Above




Looking like surf on a rising swell of greenery hawthorn in flower has made a home for itself in this mixed woodland. Rowan always gets into flower before the mayblossom, both a bit later than what we can see below.



Between them they make a stong case for trees taking over from heather on the moors.



This is natural succession bringing variety and change throughout the year. And white with green is more refined than the purples of heather and rhododendron.
