Warblers

Just two of the divine singing birds that are making Blacka such a delight at the moment. They sing with a sweetness that transcends everyday experience bringing melody into the natural soundscape, always more thrilling than a mere call. However it was that evolution decreed that some asserted their presence and their territory via melody rather than croaks and cackles we have to be humble and grateful.

Again it must be said that these birds would not be here and they would not be singing and delighting us if SWT had been managing Blacka from 50 years ago. The trees from which they sing and which they love would not have been here! And the process of heathland restoration does nothing for warblers.
