Well, well. Of course these things would have happened without my intervention. Wouldn't they? After a year of silence suddenly we hear that SWT will be arranging some meetings - RAG meetings. And discussions are being held with Sheffield's Head of Parks to ensure that SWT reports to a council scrutiny committee annually.
Now that could not have anything to do with my letters challenging SWT on the grounds of lack of accountability and public scrutiny. Could it? They will have been considering these things deeply for a long time and now have decided to announce them. They are such conscientious people. It's just simply a coincidence that this comes after I raised it.

Quiet that person at the back who said we've now got the measure of these conservation oiks and that they only acknowledge that the public exists when we make a nuisance of ourselves.
