Drop Zone

A lovely part of the woodland and a good place to be shortly after sunrise. This morning it seemed a good place to see Roe Deer but that was not to be. It's churlish to be disappointed when instead we came across no less than seven mature stags standing still at the woodland edge.

This repeats the trend in recent years to choose this spot to wait for the annual drop. Now we're into March that must be imminent for some of them at least. A number of antlers have been found here.
