According to Culpepper, this herb, Archangel - '...makes the heart merry, drives away melancholy, quickens the spirits'...and also, as a bonus......'draws forth splinters and such like things gotten into the flesh and is very good against bruises and burnings.'Bertie is not my only 'black dog', so maybe I ought to start distilling a quantity of this.
