On the whole Blacka is not specially noted for its variety of wildflowers. For that the white peak limestone areas are more famed. Blacka has plenty of compensating qualities. Nevertheless it's worth noting where you put your feet. There are several sedges found in different parts which stand out all the more for lack of competition from more showy specimens.

The common plantain is not a sedge but is also at its most attractive now:
The bluebell is commonly thought of as a woodland flower but the most treeless parts of Blacka in the pastures are home to hundreds.
And the best skies are early in the morning:
But for those who must have the full bluebell woodland experience, it's to be found at nearby Limb Valley.
