Youth and Age

Spring is always going to be many people's favourite season. New and fresh is beguiling.

But old and quirky also has its charms.

This birch seems to be rooted in two places, the closest part acts as a flying buttress, or is it an old man with a walking stick? Arthur Rackham would have turned this into an illustration for a children's fairy tale.
